The 19 Wellness Products I Will Not Travel Without

Holidays are the BEST but if you’re anything like me and you’re a wellness girly (I’m also a Qualified Integrative Health Practitioner), then I also get it. It’s hard, I get it. You’re on holiday. You want to relax, enjoy, eat the croissants, drink the Aperol. But when you feel off, you feel worse. You work so hard when you are at home to nourish your body and care for it, and when you start traveling, everything starts unraveling. Great in the short term, awful in the long term when you return home and feel horrible, behind, and like you really have to get back to the grind and have lost all of your good, nourishing work.

We all have tons of products we love, but add in the fact that your suitcase is already bursting. You need clothes for if it rains, if it’s boiling, if you randomly end up hiking a mountain? Am I right? It means you can’t bring all of your products, and sometimes you get caught short.

So here’s the deal. As a qualified Integrative Health Practitioner and wellness creator, I’ve cut through the noise and put together the products that are actually worth traveling with. No fluff, no “must-haves” that collect dust in the bottom of your case. Just the ones that really keep me balanced, glowing, and sane on the road.

And in a sea of #sponcon, know that none of these are sponsored. These are the things I genuinely use, love, and cannot live without.

1. Daily Walks and Somatic Rituals

The biggest wellness shift for me when I travel is walking every single day. Gyms are hard to find on the road, and honestly, sometimes I just don’t want to go. Plus, it’s so draining for executive function to try and find new gyms or classes in every city. But when I stop moving completely, at first it feels like rest and then quickly I start to feel heavy, sluggish, and unwell - especially when you’re indulging on holiday.

Daily walks regulate the nervous system, reduce cortisol, improve oxygenation, and bring your body back into balance. For me, they are also the number one tool I use to keep my autoimmune symptoms at bay when I am out of routine. I often pair walks with quick 5-minute breathwork or somatic shaking rituals too, because let’s be honest, no one has time for a 60-minute morning routine on holiday.

You can even do them in the hotel gym. There is always a treadmill, and with the right ritual layered in, it feels completely different from a “standard walk.”

2. Protein Before Coffee

Nothing hits as good as a morning coffee on holiday when you don’t have to go to work. But here’s the thing: if you drink coffee on an empty stomach, your cortisol spikes, blood sugar crashes, and you feel jittery and depleted. It also makes you more likely to be less regulated with your food decisions later in the day.

The problem? We all know we need protein first, but on holiday the breakfast buffet is 99% croissants, muffins, and bread — and it’s so tempting to treat yourself. Carbs are attractive but they set you up for a rollercoaster day.

That’s why Perfect Amino from Body Health always comes with me. It’s pure essential amino acids (99% utilized by your body) and the easiest way to get protein in before your first coffee, especially when you can’t find a good protein source. Total game-changer, and it’s absorbed in just 23 minutes, so hold out that long before your first sip.

3. Sleep Essentials (Why I Take Melatonin)

I’ve traveled around the globe enough times to know that flying and crossing time zones completely wrecks circadian rhythm. Melatonin is the hormone your brain naturally releases to tell your body it is time to rest, but flying, blue light, and late dinners delay production. That’s where supplementation comes in.

I take Liposomal Melatonin from Quicksilver, and here’s why: liposomal delivery means the melatonin is absorbed directly into the bloodstream for faster, more effective results. Unlike standard capsules, this form bypasses digestion so you actually feel the benefits. It helps me fall asleep faster, adjust to new time zones, and recover more deeply overnight.

I also never travel without:

  • Loop Ear Plugs to block out unpredictable noise and help me shift into deep, restorative sleep.

  • BonCharge Blackout Contoured Sleep Mask because even the smallest light exposure tells your brain it is morning and suppresses melatonin. A blackout mask is essential if you want your body to stay in deep, restorative rest — and this one is the best I’ve ever used.

  • Sleep Tape from Sunnie Side Skin to prevent mouth breathing, which otherwise spikes cortisol and inflammation. These are already elevated from the stress of traveling, so this one small tool makes a huge difference.

4. Non-Toxic Everyday Essentials

One thing I’ve learned the hard way: it is almost impossible to find non-toxic deodorant or tampons in a new city. And honestly, you don’t want to just grab whatever’s available.

  • Deodorant: Conventional deodorants are full of aluminum and hormone-disrupting chemicals. I stick with Salt & Stone or Agent Nateur.

  • Tampons: All tampons are made from cotton, and most cotton is sprayed with glyphosate — a toxic pesticide linked to hormone disruption and inflammation. That’s why I only use glyphosate-free, non-toxic tampons like Natracare, Flo, or TOTM.

Because nothing ruins a trip like filling your body with things you know are harmful. Pack these in advance so you don’t get caught short.

5. Supplements for Resilience and Recovery

Travel is hard on your system. Stress, irregular meals, and jet lag all chip away at your resilience. As a busy woman running businesses while I travel, I can’t afford to let it all catch up with me. I don’t bring the whole kitchen cupboard, but these three always make the cut:

  • Magnesium — a critical enzyme cofactor required for over 50+ reactions in the body. It supports nervous system regulation, muscle relaxation, and deep sleep.

  • B12 — for energy, focus, and adrenal support to buffer fatigue from long travel days.

  • Reishi — for resilience, immune support, and calming the stress response.

Together, they keep me steady, regulated, and able to bounce back quickly.

6. Skincare That Actually Works

We all have insanely big skincare collections at home. But when you travel, you really pick what works. These are my ride-or-dies:

  • Caudalie Resveratrol Serum for dark spots and hyperpigmentation.

  • Vitamin C (I use Drunk Elephant) because everyone needs a brightening antioxidant, especially for oxidative stress.

  • Fresh Black Tea Overnight Mask — my forever ride-or-die for hydration and glow. You wake up with your face dewy, plump, and so hydrated. I love it.

  • Biodance Mask as an extra boost when I feel really depleted.

When you’re on planes, trains, and in dry hotel rooms, it is all about rehydrating, rehydrating, rehydrating.

7. Light Therapy

A Mini Travel Red Light Box or Wand from BonCharge comes with me everywhere. Red light helps reset circadian rhythm, calm inflammation, and keep skin glowing even after long-hauls. I love using it before bed to wind down, reduce inflammation, and signal to my body that it is safe to rest.

8. Movement Must-Haves

Last but not least: my suitcase full of activewear.

  • Right now I’m living in Alo and Accolade Sets.

  • For walking and exploring: Salomon trainers.

The rule is simple: you need clothes you feel good in and can move in. The moment you get blisters or feel restricted, the trip is done. Comfort is non-negotiable if you want to stay active while traveling.

Over & Out

So, as someone who travels ALL the time, travel doesn’t have to mean throwing your health out the window. With the right tools, from protein before coffee, to melatonin, to somatic healing walks, you can feel radiant, regulated, and actually enjoy your time away. It’s just about getting clued up about what works, and what can come with you. Because wellness isn’t something you leave at home. It needs to learn to travel with you.
